Breanna’s like a little monkey; always climbing on or over something, pulling hair, or exploring the items just beyond her little reach. It’s truly amazing to watch, but sometimes it can be a little frustrating if you’re the mountain she’s trying to climb.

Watching her makes me wonder if I was like that when I was a little girl. Were my sisters like that when they were little girls, too? So curious, so playful, so amazing.

It almost breaks my heart that one day Breanna will grow up and lose so much of the spark that makes children wonderful. If I have anything to say about it, I’ll be sure to help keep that spark alive a long as I possibly can. In fact, she’s helping me to rediscover it for myself.

Gosh, I can’t wait for the fairy phase when she starts believing in mythological creatures and stuff.

I do have one complaint, though. The poopy diapers. Seriously, something needs to be done about that. I’m the auntie, not the poopy diaper changer.

So, BreeBree, please do me a favor: try to keep the toxic emissions to a minimum whenever I’m on baby duty. Much obliged.

You came into my world on November 8, 2006 at 11:56 p.m.. I cried and I laugh and then I wondered what to do next. I was an inexperience new mom without a clue. What was the best diaper or what formula would you like? You did not come with directions, just cries when you did not like what I was doing.

I soon learned what the cries meant and I grew more confident in the entire mommy routine. I really did not realize how much you would change my life. I got use to the diaper changes and the search for the perfect formula, and I even stopped wondering when I would be able to get 8 hours of sleep.

I am getting used to this mommy thing and I am loving it. You wake me up at 5 a.m with those beautiful blue eyes and your signature smile, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love you my little Binky-girl.

Your mommy Diana
